is located in Taipei, consistently ranked as one of the “most
livable” cities in Asia. NCCU was founded in 1927, and excels in
the liberal arts, commerce and social sciences.
The NCCU History Department was founded in 1967 and is one of
the top history departments in Taiwan. The Department is
particularly strong in Modern Chinese history and Cultural

writing sample (with Chinese or English synopsis); doctoral and
master’s degree transcripts; curriculum vitae; list of

syllabi (at least one English-taught class)
Candidates without a doctoral degree, but with an exceptional
record of publication and teaching, will be required to provide an
official certification of position and the other requirements as
stated above, excluding dissertation..
